NI thresholds and rates for the tax year 2020 - 2021

Yesterday, Thursday 30th Jan 2020, the government announced NI thresholds and rates for tax year 2020-21.
The primary threshold (employee NI) will raise to £9500, whilst the secondary threshold (employer NI) will increase inline with inflation to £8788. The upper earnings limit remains fixed at £50k.
The NI rates will remain the same.
This means a worker earning over £9.5k will pay £104.16 less a year in NI, whist their employer will save £21.53 per annum.
